Stories from Clay

In the narrow alleys of Paros, among the stone paths and whitewashed courtyards, lie the stories of women who keep the island’s traditions alive. Through the sharing of oral histories and the collection of family treasures, we create a collective mosaic that reflects the world of the grandmother, the mother, the sister, and the women of Paros. Tools and objects used in work and home environments, everyday knowledge and skills, as well as delicious recipes passed down from generation to generation, become a source of inspiration for a collaborative art activity in the public space. With clay, engravings, textures, and images, we come together to create a large mosaic of memory and discover how women’s presence shapes the identity and soul of the island.
